Creative media and digital technology (cmdt)
The Creative Media and Digital Technologies (CMDT) program was originally developed from the Digital Media program. The CMDT program aims to cultivate digital artists and creators capable of producing innovative digital artwork and applications. Apart from practical skills and design expertise, the program fosters students’ communication and research skills through active learning activities and a research-based final year project as well as getting them involved with new technologies.
In order to stay competitive in the digital media and creative arts industries, it is important to keep up with the constantly changing technology trends. Given such nature in the field, our CMDT program was designed to prepare students to become lifelong learners who may pursue their interests and passion through continuous self-directed learning while being encouraged to use multiple resources to expand their knowledge throughout life.
Based on their subject areas, the subjects are organized into modules. The module concept allows flexible learning for anyone who wishes to upskill/reskill and return to higher education to develop skills needed for their career in today’s digital economy. To facilitate students’ learning through real-world experience, active learning and work-integrated learning are used to combine academic learning with practical application in the workplace.
CMDT Educational Philosophy
