Program Structure and Requirements

Two-Stage Program:

Stage 1
Prince of Songkla University (PSU)

Students complete their undergraduate or graduate studies at PSU.

Stage 2
Singapore Management University (SMU)

Students pursue a Master’s degree at SMU in participating programs.

*Eligibility Period: Students must commence Stage 2 within 3 years of completing Stage 1 at PSU.

Master’s Programs at SMU
  • MSc in Management MIM
  • MSc in Entrepreneurship & Innovation MEI
  • Master of IT in Business MITB

Admission Criteria
  • Must hold a degree from PSU.
  • Test Scores: Required GMAT, GRE, or SMU Admissions Test scores as per the specific program’s requirements.
  • English Proficiency: Minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or TOEFL score of 90 (for those from non-English medium programs).
  • Additional Requirements: Successful interview, updated Resume/CV, Personal Statement, and 2 names and email addresses of referees.

Course Structure
  • Students must successfully complete 15 Credit Units (CUs) to be awarded the Master’s degree from SMU.
  • The MITB program offers options of an Internship or a Capstone Project.
  • The MEI program includes a compulsory self-funded Overseas Immersion Segment (airfare, accommodation, visa related and living expenses) which is required for the award of the degree.

Note: Tuition fees (excluding GST) are locked in at the point of matriculation for the respective intake. Fees include 9% GST.

Partner University Entitlements for PSU Students:

  • Tuition Discount: A direct discount of S$4,000 off the total tuition fees.
  • Fee Waivers: Application fee waiver for MIM/MEI/MITB programs and a one-time SMU Admission Test fee waiver for the MITB program.
  • Scholarships: Admitted students are eligible to apply for SMU scholarships — up to 30% of the tuition fee (bond-free).
Payment Terms

A non-refundable registration fee (S$500) and a confirmation deposit (S$5,000) are required upon acceptance of the offer. Deposit for MITB programme will be advised at a later stage.

Remarks

Student Support

Upon entering Stage 2, students will have access to SMU facilities, including libraries, IT services, basic health insurance, and specialized career services through the Postgraduate Career Services center.

Student Visa

SMU will assist students in the application process for the Singapore Student’s Pass prior to the start of the program.

Personal Expenses

Students are responsible for their own living expenses, accommodation, travel, visa fees, and personal travel insurance.
